Offering a very full, quart size bag of Sheet/ Feather Moss~ Organic, Chemical Free Feather moss can be found growing on moist, shaded soil, stumps, rocks, and logs. Perfect for open or closed terrariums, living wreaths and floral arrangements, bonsai and Kokedama. I use Feather Moss to top all of my houseplants, adding aesthetic interest with the bonus of keeping the soil moist longer. This beautiful moss looks like a blanket of lush, green, little tiny ferns. It is, quite literally, harvested in “sheets”. Feather Moss is about a half inch thick, comes in various sheet sizes, and is easily torn or cut with scissors to form the shape you need. Because our mosses are collected in a manner that sustains and supports their growth, we try to keep their foundation as intact as possible. This means there may be a bit of soil, tree bark (seen in these pics) and other natural materials attached to your moss. We have been bringing moss into our home for many years and have NEVER had a problem with insects. We would not, knowingly, pass along moss that was infested. But mother nature is unpredictable. One easy way to “sanitize” your moss is to place it in a lidded container with a cotton ball that has been sprayed with an insecticide. Hello, This pot was made the legendary yamaaki kiln. A now cold kiln that once made great affordable and high quality pots for the bonsai community. They haven’t gone anywhere but up in price and they will only continue as the supply of them in japan continues to dwindle. *all pots in my store may contain some degree of wobble. Any chips I’ll point out in the pictures. If there are any severe issues I’ll mention them below if applicable. Also, at times there may be glaze crazing, from the high heat of the kiln. -these old Yamaaki’s almost always have some crazing on the glaze. Common for high firing and won’t affect anything. See all pictures. -I love the color in the glaze and also the irregular shape is measured at its widest points. I’ve had a few of these slabs in the past and they never last long in the store.
