Organic Alfalfa sprouts 1 pound of seed 2023 season Alfalfa is very easy to sprout at home (it’s one of the easiest and fastest seeds to sprout). However, I recommend ensuring you’ve soaked the seeds for 6+ hours first. Alfalfa sprouts have a delicious delicate nutty flavour. They are rich in vitamins and minerals; high in protein and fibre; and only take 3-5 days to harvest. Rinse 2 tablespoons alfalfa seeds, removing any debris or floating matter. Place alfalfa seeds in a quart jar or other sprouting container. Add ¼-½ cup cool water, cover with a sprouting screen or mesh sprouting lid and soak 8 hours or overnight. At the end of day 5 or the start of day 6 your sprouts will be ready to eat. Refrigerate your sprouts 8-12 hours after the final rinse and drain. Enjoy your sprouts in salads, sandwiches, or as a topping to any dish.
