3 Lbs WHITE DUTCH CLOVER SEED For Lawns Ground Cover Bees Coated & Inoculated
3 LBS WHITE DUTCH CLOVER SEED COATED AND INOCULATED FOR BETTER GERMINATIONTHIS IS A 3 LB BAG OF WHITE DUTCH CLOVER SEED. THE SEED COUNT IS OVER 800,000 SEEDS PER POUND. IT IS USEFUL IN LAWNS, PASTURES, GROUND COVERS, BEES, AND DEER FOOD PLOTS. IT USUALLY GROWS TO A HEIGHT OF 6 TO 8 INCHES AND PROVIDES NITROGEN FOR YOUR LAWN, PASTURE, OR FOOD PLOT. IT IS A LEGUME AND, AS SUCH, WILL FIX NODULES ON THE ROOTS WHICH THEN DRAW NITROGEN FROM THE ATMOSPHERE INTO THE PLANT AND SOIL. IT WILL GROW IN ALMOST ANY TYPE OF SOIL AND IS VERY HARDY. ONCE ESTABLISHED, IT WILL LAST FOR YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD. IT CAN BE GROWN BY ITSELF OR IN A MIX WITH YOUR FAVORITE GRASS LIKE FESCUE OR BLUEGRASS. RECOMENDED SEEDING RATE IS BETWEEN 6 TO 8 LBS PER 1000 SQ FT. WHITE DUTCH CLOVER MAY BE SEED IN LATE WINTER, EARLY SPRING, OR EARLY FALL. SEEDING CAN BE DONE BY BROADCAST METHOD OVER THE TOP OF EXISTING GRASS AND IF DONE IN LATE WINTER WILL WORK ITS WAY INTO THE SOIL BY THE FREEZING AND THAWING EFFECT. THEN, WHEN TEMPERATURES WARM, IT WILL QUICKLY GERMINATE. WEED CONTROL IS SIMPLE. NO NEED FOR HERBICIDES AS A GOOD THICK STAND WILL SUPPRESS WEED GROWTH. JUST MOW TO REMOVE ANY UNSIGHTLY WEEDS IF THEY APPEAR.

SeedRanch White Dutch Clover Seed: Nitro-Coated & Inoculated 10 Lbs.
Inoculated White Dutch Clover Seed Used in lawns, as a ground cover, cover crop, for erosion control, and in pasture mixtures. Usually matures between 4 to 8 inches. Many homeowners include White Dutch Clover in their lawn seed mixture because clover sprouts fast and grows so dependably that it’s a valuable aid in getting a new lawn started. Nodules on the roots fix nitrogen from the air. Actually, up to 1/3 the nitrogen your lawn needs can be obtained from white dutch clover! Grows vigorously even in poor clay subsoil around new home construction. If you want all the benefits of a cover crop but don’t want to till early or mow, clover is your best bet. Getting a good stand of white clover is a first and critical step to success with this high quality, persistent crop. Since white clover is usually grown with a cool season perennial grass (may be planted alone too), it is usually either seeded at the same time as the grass or seeded into an existing grass stand. Seeding Rate Seeding rates vary with geographic location, seeding method, and seeding mixture. In general, rates 1/4 lb per 1000 square feet or 6 to 8 lbs per acre are recommended. Seeding Depth The ideal seeding depth is approximately 1/4-inch maximum, but under favorable weather and soil conditions, seed present on the soil surface may germinate and become established. Good seed-soil contact is important to ensure rapid germination and emergence. Seeding Time In the Southern USA, white clover is seeded in late winter or early spring and in late-summerautumn. In the Northern USA, most white clover is seeded in early spring or late summer. Seeding Method White clover can be seeded by many no-till or minimum till techniques and by broadcast seeding. In conventional seedbeds, white clover is almost always seeded with a perennial grass for lawns or hard or sheeps fescue for erosion control. Just scatter the seeds, rake lightly, and keep the seed moist until it sprouts! After sprouting occurs, cut back watering as root development starts taking place and less water is needed. Withstands mild drought, grows well all over the U.S., even on barren soil where nothing else wants to grow. Winter hardy and it stays so low you can just till it under in spring if you are using it for a cover crop. Weeds The best weed control is provided by a vigorous white clover-grass stand. If necessary, white clover-grass stands can be mowed to remove grass leaves and seedheads and to suppress broadleaf weeds and woody vegetation.

Medium Red Clover Seed
GA-9908 is a southern adapted, medium red clover specifically bred for improved grazing performance. GA-9908 is a multi-year red clover capable of better persistence and good hay yields. It is highly resistant to Southern Anthracnose. GA-9908 is a valuable forage for hay, grazing, cover cropping and wildlife. As with all red clovers, it possesses deep roots to help build soil and provide extended drought survivability and is capable of fixing nitrogen; all useful traits for crop rotations and mixed grass pastures. In independent testing, GA-9908 has shown to be highly resistant to Southern Anthracnose (Colltrotrichum spp.), and resistant to Northern Anthracnose (Auereobasidium caulivor).Once established and properly managed, GA-9908 should provide multiple years of free nitrogen and protein-rich hay and grazing. Longevity will depend on location and management. In hotter regions, with predominately warm-season species, it should last at least 1-2 years, while in cooler climates it should live 3-5 years, or longer. One can also broadcast 3-5 lbs./acre of seed annually, or as needed, to insure a continuous stand. Researchers recommend 25-30% clover percentages in grass pastures for best animal grazing results. Before You PlantGA-9908 performs best in soils with a pH of 5.8-7.0, but can also tolerate moderately acid soils (pH 5.0-5.5). GA-9908 will perform best on loamy, well-drained, fertile soil, but can also survive in poorly drained soil. For optimal performance, conduct a soil test and follow the recommended lime and fertilizer recommendations. In established pastures, remove excess forage through grazing or late season haying. This will help ensure successful seedling emergence and establishment. Reduce weed population prior to planting. Be aware of herbicide carryover/residual of chemicals applications prior to planting.Planting MethodCultipacking or dragging before and after seeding helps create a firm seedbed on prepared land. Planting too deep may lead to poor establishment or stand failure. When planting as mix with grass, drill companion grasses in one direction and then drill clover perpendicular to grass rows.InoculationGA-9908 is ready to plant! GA-9908 red clover is Nitro-Coated with a high level of the leguminosarum biovar trifolii rhizobium.
