Red Clover Seeds: Trifolium Pratense Bulk Cover Crop USA Grown Organic Non-GMO

The most widely adaptable clover (Trifolium pretense), native to Europe, Western Asia and North Africa, but naturalized across the United States. Typically grown as a nitrogen fixing cover crop in colder climates, but we’ve also had success growing it in Southern California. The blossoms make a nice tea. Takes some and water to establish, so consider starting in seedling cells and transplanting during warmer seasons and direct sowing outside in rainier ones. Choose plantings carefully, as the plants travel through runner roots and spread readily wherever water is available. 120 days to establishment. Perennial.Seeds are certified organic.

USDA Organic Red Clover seeds for sprouting 1oz/ 100g/ 8oz./ 1 LB. sizes Canada

Red clover is widely grown as a fodder crop, valued for its natural nitrogen fixation abilities, which increases soil fertility, consequently, it is often used as a green manure crop during winter. Several cultivar groups have been selected for agricultural use, mostly derived from var. sativum. It has become naturalized in many temperate areas, including the Americas and Australia as it escaped from cultivation. Red clover contains isoflavones (estrogen-like compounds) which can mimic the effect of endogenous estrogen. The use of red clover to relieve menopausal symptoms has been shown to be safe. The isoflavones (like irilone and pratensein) from red clover have been used to treat the symptoms of menopause. A large, well-controlled study of high-isoflavone red clover extract supplements showed a modest reduction of hot flashes. Traditionally, red clover has been administered to help restore irregular menses and to balance the acid-alkaline level of the vagina to promote conception. Red clover has been reported to be used for a variety of medicinal purposes, such as the treatment of bronchitis, burns, cancers, ulcers, sedation, asthma, syphilis, and quitting smoking. Due to its activity on estrogen receptors, it is contraindicated in people with a history of breast cancer, endometriosis, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, uterine fibroids, or other estrogen-sensitive conditions, but others have suggested the high isoflavone content counteracts this, and even provides benefits in these conditions. Due to its coumarin derivatives, it should be used in caution in individuals with coagulation disorders or currently undergoing anti-coagulation therapy. Impatiens sodenii subsp. oliveri | Poor Man’s Rhododendron | 10 Seeds

Impatiens sodenii subsp. oliveri is a robust, evergreen perennial native to East Africa, often referred to as Poor Man’s Rhododendron. It typically grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall, with thick, fleshy stems and large, elongated, lance-shaped leaves that are deep green and slightly serrated. The plant is admired for its showy, soft pink to pale lavender flowers, which bloom year-round in warmer climates, but primarily in summer and fall. The flowers are tubular with a spur at the back, resembling typical impatiens blossoms but larger in size. It thrives in part shade to full shade and prefers well-draining, consistently moist soils. Due to its rapid growth, it makes an excellent choice for adding height and structure to shaded garden areas or woodland settings. However, it can become invasive in some regions if not carefully managed. Zones 9-11 Germination Impatiens sodenii subsp. oliveri seeds are relatively easy to germinate with the right conditions. The seeds should be sown on the surface of a well-draining seed mix and lightly pressed into the soil without covering, as they require light to germinate. Consistent moisture is crucial, so the soil should be kept evenly moist but not waterlogged. The ideal temperature for germination is between 20-25°C (68-77°F). A warm, humid environment helps to speed up the process, so placing the container in a propagator or covering it with a clear plastic lid can improve success rates. Germination typically occurs within 2-4 weeks, though it may vary depending on conditions. Once seedlings appear, they should be gradually acclimated to lower humidity and bright, indirect light.
