Matt’s Wild Tomato | 25 Seeds | Solanum Lycopersicum | Cherry Tomato | Flavor
Matt’s Wild Tomato Solanum Lycopersicum25 Seeds It’s the first year we have grown Matt’s Wild Tomatoes on the farm and we are hooked! The plants grow about waist high and get very bushy. We didn’t support ours this year and not one got blown over in the rough winds this Summer. Teeny tiny yellow flowers make way to many green fruits growing along one stem. There are usually 8-12 tomatoes growing on each stem. But, they have been ripening at different times. The 2-3 tomatoes closest to the plant will typically ripen first with another 2-3 ready the next day. Every day there are new tomatoes to harvest or snack on while gardening! The size of tomato is very close to the Florida Everglades. But, the flavor is quite a bit different! These tomatoes have a very deep flavor that you usually get from larger beefsteak tomatoes. The color is very dark red when fully ripe. The size is very small, about 1/2″ max. Although the tomatoes are very small, the plants will produce hundreds! These seeds were harvested July 2024 Seed Starting Seeds germinate quicker at 75+ deg F Sow seeds 1/4″ deep and keep moist Seedlings will emerge in 2-3 weeks Shipping Orders $10+ ship USPS Ground with Tracking for FREE! Orders under $10 ship with a USPS Stamp. There is not any tracking, but delivery is within 7-10 business days. Fresh from our farm to your door! Florida Dogwood | 5 Seeds | Cornus florida | Native Tree | Gulf Coast Eco-type
Florida Dogwood Cornus florida 5 Seeds Chill Hill Farms The Dogwood is one of our favorite trees and we knew they just had to be planted all over the farm. As we started clearing here and there we noticed native dogwood trees were already here! Although concentrated mainly on the North-East slope of the hill, they are just peppered everywhere. The flowers are so beautiful in the early spring-time and smell wonderful too. We plant our Spring gardens when the Dogwood blooms, not a day before! It’s the sure sign that Spring is here to stay and ‘almost’ all nights of freezing temps are behind you. Florida Dogwood loves to grow in our sandy acidic soil under the slight shade of Long-Leaf Pine trees. Lots of folks lost their larger Pines in Hurricane Michael and the Dogwoods didn’t do well without their shade. Many Dogwoods perished the next year after. Our dogwood trees are just beautiful! We even have several in the middle of our larger main garden bed. The red berries were just covering the trees in Fall and we couldn’t help but collect a few for you! These seeds have been cleaned from the berry and are stored in refrigeration until you order. These seeds were harvested November 2024 Seed Starting Sow in Fall for sprigs by Spring OR Place in fridge 3-4 months after soaking Soak in warm water overnight Sow seeds 1/2″ deep and keep moist Seedlings will emerge in 4-6 weeks Shipping Seed orders ship USPS Stamp.
