Purple Martin birdhouse gourd seeds – 50+ seeds. These seeds grow thick-walled gourds suitable for making Purple Martin birdhouses. They are from gourds grown on our farm. They are from this year’s 2022 crop. They look great, and we made an effort this year to replant seeds that were from gourds that had the very best shape and thickness…so hopefully these seeds will be our best ever. I hand count the seed and package them. They will be mailed in a seed envelope placed inside a standard postage envelope with a first class stamps. Mailing the seeds this way saves you over $3 in shipping costs, but it doesn’t allow for a tracking number. Orders of 4 or more seed packs will have printed shipping label with a tracking number. The 6000 is an “approximate” figure. Seeds have been counted many times to attain a weight that should insure you with approximately 6000 seeds. To give you an idea of what 6000 looks like, when you purchase seeds in the store like the packaged kind you see on the racks that are usually priced at $1.95 and up and on average these packages contain 50-80 seeds with some less and some more. This should give you a rough idea. This is not pounds. Although the number sounds huge, seeds do not take up much space at all. These seeds are “Fresh”…Quality comes first…All Seeds are “HAND SORTED & SELECTED”…Smaller, Broken, Dead and Dried out seeds are removed so that you are guaranteed to get quality cream of the crop seeds. It’s tedious work and I enjoy it thoroughly because I love the product so much. You can juice it or blend it. Any kind of high speed blender or osterizer will work if you don’t have a juicer, you will need to strain it if you don’t like pulp. But don’t throw away that pulp because you use it to add to dishes, ie, veggies. You will get the maximum benefits using a juicer. The pulp will only be beneficial as fiber, but hey, fiber is good. Also, you can just eat it…cut it up and sprinkle it on a salad…or grow it for your pets like I do, eating it fresh provides you with a source of fiber. The grass needs to be masticated to obtain the health benefits. Cats love it and so do Rabbits, Dogs, Birds or whatever your pet may be. It’s easy to grow and fresh all the time. Wheat Grass will live about 3 1/2 weeks then you need to regrow. It’s meant for consumption. It’s possible to get a second cut, but it won’t be tender like the first cut. I don’t like it myself and I just throw it and re-grow it each time. Wheat Grass is scientifically proven to improve the overall health of humans as well as any pet that eats grass, better said, anything with a circulatory system! It can’t be proven to or cure disease because that’s not possible to do, but if the circulatory system is improved, the body’s ability to fight off or cure illness is improved in turn. There are many testimonials out there that make the claim that wheat grass helped to cure them from serious illnesses i.e. infections and cancer. Remember, these are personal testimonials not doctor’s claims. To a rabbit wheat grass is “Fresh Hay”. There is that one in a million cat that just won’t eat it. I have one buyer with 9 cats and one won’t touch it. It’s almost unheard of but it can happen. So if you have that one in a million cat that won’t eat it, it’s not the wheat grass and it’s not you. You can see the new baby enjoying his wheat grass just the way the pets like it…”Right from the pot”!
