Liatris Spicata – Floristan Violet also known as the Gayfeather, is a perennial that is prized for its fluffy wands of bright flowers that are a violet-purple color. This plant flowers in succession from top to bottom over the span of 4 weeks or more, and has nice, tufted flower heads that contrast nicely with its grassy, finely textured foliage. The narrow opposite leaves will stay attractive all Summer long, and then turn a rich bronze color in the Fall.
