Redroot pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus), also known as pigweed amaranth, is a common summer annual herb. This is yet another fabulous edible (and delicious) plant that is considered a weed by most of Big Ag. But this lowly “weed” is actually very nutritious, and is a great wild edible plant that every part can be eaten. The roots, the leaves, the seeds…… all of it. This plant is native to the tropical Americas, but it has been introduced to also every continent in the world. In the US, this plant is mainly used as livestock fodder, especially for hogs and pigs, hence its name. I had someone tell me once that this plant was dangerous to livestock, but I have not personally found evidence of that. That said, do your own research before feeding it to your livestock animals. I DO however know for a fact that humans are absolutely able to eat this plant and it’s super nutritious. It can be cooked like spinach, leaves eaten raw, roots added to soups and stews, and seeds used as a flour grain. Pigweed Amaranth is rich in vitamins A and C as well as other important minerals, such as iron, manganese, calcium, zinc, copper, and magnesium. Adding pigweed into your daily diet can improve your health and immunity immensely. Consuming pigweed is SAID to help alleviate fever, headache, nausea, stomachache, and other digestive disorders. Moreover, pigweed leaves have astringent properties. For that reason, tea made from these leaves can help treat sore throat, and to control bleeding. You can also use the tea topically to treat cuts, rashes, scrapes, and insect bites. WILD & CLEAN!Oxalis Stricta Yellow Wood Sorrel 2024 Seeds~Lemon Clover*Sourgrass

Choose From 100 to 500 Seeds~ OXALIS STRICTA~ Yellow Wood Sorrel Other common names: Lemon Clover, False Shamrock, Sourgrass Wild and harvested from plants growing around our fully organic gardens Harvested recently, in the Spring/Summer of 2024, so they have NOT been stratified. These seeds need cold MOIST stratification to optimize germination rates. To do this, put some sand (about a 1/3 cup or so) in a bowl and sprinkle in the seeds. Mix. Add enough water just to moisten the sand thoroughly. you don’t want it to be soggy and over wet. Put into a ziplock baggy and then seal. Make sure to label the baggy with the name and date. Put in the coldest area of your refrigerator for 4 to 6 weeks. If you do not want to do this you can just scatter the seeds outside in fall, water in, cover with a thin layer of organic mulch and then water that too…. and just let them be….. they will emerge in Spring. Yellow Wood Sorrel is a VERY welcome wild edible in our gardens and many times they also end up with our potted plants. We have a lot of them around here, and I’m always happy to see them. This cheery little plant resembles clover with shamrock shaped leaves that open up during day, and close during the night. The blooms also close around dusk and begin opening up after sunrise. It grows wild in lots of places, particularly meadows, woodlands, and disturbed areas. It’s a great beginner forager’s plant because it is easy to identify, and….In addition to having a snappy, lemony flavor that is delicious, They are incredibly nutritious, and have quite a few medicinal properties that make them great for adding to recipes, salads, and teas. I like to eat the green seed pods which are super sour, right off of the plant as I go through the gardens. I bet they would be very good coated with sugar! Like an all natural sour patch kid. ALL parts of this plant are edible! But…. if you aren’t lucky enough to already have these growing in your yard or garden, and you don’t want to have to go out and forage for it, then just use these seeds, and grow your own!! It is a perennial up to zone 7 (tender perennial), and can be grown as an annual anywhere else. It has beautiful tiny yellow flowers which bloom all spring into early summer and then, if the summer gets consistently 85 degrees F and above, they will take a break and kind of go dormant, saving up their energy for a second round of blooming in fall. It will die back at frostGermination time: 10-21 daysPlanting Depth: Surface sow/Spread sand and seed mixture thinly over soil surface Sunlight: Direct or indirect (seeds), Full Sun or Partial Shade (plants) Can be Started indoors 6 weeks before last frost date and transplanted, or plant seeds in fall outdoorsPlant seeds or thin to 6 to 8″ apart. Choose From 100 to 500 Seeds Fully PERMACULTURE STYLE Organic!! 100% Clean, no chemicals, sprays or toxins of any kind!!!! Heirloom seeds, non GMO, open pollinated Nepeta Cataria*CATNIP* Perennial Herb *Heirloom *Medicinal *Herbal Tea An absolute favorite of the garden pollinators!! Attracts lots of different kinds of bees and butterflies. These are Fresh 2023 Seeds, cold stratified CATNIP PLANT INFO: Of course, the Catmint or Catnip plant is well known for it’s popularity with the fur babies of the feline persuasion. However, it is JUST as useful as a medicinal herb for humans, as it is a mood elevator for the kitties. Catnip is a member of the mint family, and has a lot of the same medicinal purposes as other mints such as peppermint and spearmint. They are relaxing, help with pain relief, anxiety, and sleep disorders. The catnip plant is also used as a bronchodilator, expectorant and antispasmodic. So it is used in the relief of cold and flu symptoms, and when used in conjunction with lemon and honey, (and maybe a shot of whiskey), makes a wonderful hot tea for sore throats and coughs. It can be used either fresh or dried, like other mints. It has a lovely smelling kind of lemony minty aroma, with large saw edged pointy leaved, bright to deep green foliage, and very pale purple blossoms. It is easy to grow, and reseeds readily. It is a perennial, and propagates new plants by seed. It does NOT grow by sending out ground/root runners like the peppermint and spearmint plants do. So it will not take over an area quickly like those mints do. But will spread readily by reseeding, Catnip likes full sun, but can also do quite well in some shade as well. It likes to stay well watered, but prefers a well draining soil, rather than soggy soils, whereas Peppermint or Spearmint can tolerate very wet, swampy soils. The Catnip will not take to that environment nearly as well, and prefers to dry out between waterings. It will do well even in poor soils, and doesn’t require much care. Regular pruning/harvesting will keep the plant short and bushy. But if you want to attract those pollinators, just allow it to do it’s own thing, and do not prune. Grow in pots if you want to control spread, or keep small plants. Being a mint, they are very prolific spreaders!!! Grown 100% all naturally. We use all natural soil amendments and fertilizers; all homemade or eco friendly bug and disease controls, ONLY when ABSOLUTELY necessary…. and fresh rain water. SEED & PLANTING INFO: Germination time: 10-20 days USDA ZONES: 3-9 Planting Depth: surface sow and lightly cover (no more than 1/8″ of loose soil on top) Sunlight: needed Soil Temperature: 55-65 degrees. Keep soil moist but not soggy. Cover with clear plastic to maintain humidity. IF germinating outdoors and its over 80 degrees, keep them in the shade during the afternoon heat. Allow them to get full sun in the mornings only, so the soil temp doesn’t rise too much. Transplanted Seedlings need a lot of room, these plants will get pretty large! they grow to as much as 4 ft in height, and can get about the same across. You can also just sow the seeds in late fall or winter, in place. Cover with a thick layer of mulch that you remove at last frost… or upper section of plastic 2 liter bottles cut in half. But leave cap off, so water can get in and heat from sun can escape. HOLLYHOCK (Alcea rosea) Old Fashioned, Single layer heirloom flowers that usually don’t bloom until the second year (which is why they are a biennial), but some of these DID bloom the first year, but they were just very small and there weren’t very many blooms. But, the SECOND year (all the pics here are of 2nd year plants), they went crazy. And some of them got over 8ft tall. I just recently (mid July) had to cut them down because they just got TOO tall, and they started to look a bit poorly, and now they are coming back again and setting blooms all over. They are amazing. And the bees and butterflies absolutely go crazy over them. Random Color MIX: Could be the following: White with pink, Cream with brown, Pink with white, Mauve, Deep Burgundy, White with yellow, Deep Red with Yellow, Deep Pink ALL of the seeds I sell in my shop are all naturally grown/organic, or collected from wild plants growing here on our own property which are 100% clean and healthy. They are from the most recent harvest either the current year or fall of previous year, and are kept in cold storage. They are tested for viability and only harvests that have between 80 and 95% germination rate are offered for sale. They are hand sorted and counted so that only the highest quality seeds are sent out. Because the flower spikes get so tall, they make a fantastic border/screen. And you definitely want them to be in the BACK because they got VERY tall!!! Some of them were almost as tall as the Mammoth Sunflowers and they get like 10 ft tall. They like FULL SUN and moderate water; Once established they are somewhat drought tolerant, they can take mild drought conditions, but will begin to be affected after a while without water, in higher heat conditions. So they do need to be watered deeply at least every couple of weeks, when there isn’t much rain. Aside from being a beautiful cottage flower, the flowers are also edible, and actually quite tasty. Germination time: From 10-21 Days Planting Depth: 1/4″ Sunlight: Indirect Light Soil Temperature: 60-65 degrees is ideal for germination (can be slightly less or more) Plants should be about 2 feet apart, they need a LOT of space!! So thin seedlings, or transplant with lots of space in between. 1 oz ECHINACEA Purple Coneflower Medicinal Herb Dried Seed Heads/Cones~ Variety

ECHINACEA Purple Coneflower Fully Dried FRESH 2023 Whole Seed Heads Random Mix of Angustafolia, Purpurea and Pallida (some may also be double deckers) This is specifically for SEED harvesting, so most of them do not have petals attached, and are not really for using for tea or other uses. All are grown in an all natural ecosystem way, I hate using the word organic, because nobody really knows exactly what that means. My plants don’t get babied. They have to work to survive like they would in the wild. But, I won’t let them languish either. If they really need help, I’ll give them assistance, in an all natural way. For more information on my echinacea, see my actual plant listing *************************************************************SHIPPING: Free shipping is first class with tracking for these.
