This piece is really a beautiful pot. the glaze varies nicely all around the pot. Yamaaki pots are great pots to both use and enjoy. When the kiln went cold a little over 10 years ago, they left the bonsai world with many beautiful pots.

Hello, This pot was made the legendary yamaaki kiln. A now cold kiln that once made great affordable and high quality pots for the bonsai community. They haven’t gone anywhere but up in price and they will only continue as the supply of them in japan continues to dwindle. *all pots in my store may contain some degree of wobble. Any chips I’ll point out in the pictures. If there are any severe issues I’ll mention them below if applicable. Also, at times there may be glaze crazing, from the high heat of the kiln. -these old Yamaaki’s almost always have some crazing on the glaze. Common for high firing and won’t affect anything. See all pictures. -I love the color in the glaze and also the irregular shape is measured at its widest points. I’ve had a few of these slabs in the past and they never last long in the store.
