When your cutting arrives, please make sure you remoisten the paper towel, and either put the cuttings in fridge for later grafting or to root later, or place in soilless media which is the best starting mix for starting plant cuttings. The mixture should be loose, well draining and have plenty of oxygen movement for newly forming roots. You can start cuttings in perlite, vermiculite, sand, or a combination of peat moss and any of the other materials mentioned before. Place well watered potted cuttings in an area away from direct sunlight. Sharp angled end goes in the media, flat-straight cut end faces up. Keep growing media moist but not soaked. Roots should start forming in 6-8 weeks. I included pictures of a Black currant mother plant to show how the plant may look in different stages of growth.
