Plant grows to between 1 and 2 feet in height and produces small, pale blue to violet flowers that bloom from, attracting bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other native pollinators. Native Americans used the oval-shaped leaves to treat respiratory and muscle disorders, as a purgative, and as a ceremonial medicine.
