Ann Chowning is a hardy Louisiana bog iris with shades of bright red velvety petals and yellow accents. It can easily grow in water to 5 inches above the roots in an 8 inch or wider container with heavy loam soil. This iris will grow to 18” to 36″ tall and blooms from late May to June. A good grower that will spread quickly, hardy zones 3 – 12. Picture 1 and 2 shows a Red Ann Chowning iris that bloomed in our pond. The 3 and 4 pictures are plant size and shape with full roots and 2-5 bladed foliage. These photos of the plant are for your reference only and is not what you will receive.
