They also need constant access to water. The best way to water the seeds is by flooding the container from below. The two planter options mentioned make this extremely easy. For the Air-o Light, simply pour water into the hole near the soil until full. For the seed trays, fill the lower white portion about halfway with water. Set the black tray down in. Wait until the water has absorbed into the soil. Add more water to the white container as needed.cover succulent seeds PinKeeping the lid on the seed trays will help slow down evaporation, but you’ll still need to refill the tray frequently. You’ll need to add water to your container daily to make sure the soil stays damp. Also, make sure the seeds have plenty of access to light. The ideal place for your seeds is next to a bright window indoors. It’s important to keep the temperature consistent and not let the seeds get hotter than 80 degrees or colder than about 60 degrees.Germination TimeEach type of succulent will take a different amount of time to germinate. Look at the information included with your seeds to determine when you can expect to see signs of growth.Once you do see sprouts, you’ll want to make sure your seeds have plenty of airflows, but still, keep the soil wet. But, they do take a lot of constant care and maintenance. When to re-pot succulent seedlingsMost succulent seedlings should be left in the original planter for six months to a year before being transplanted.Depending on the species of succulent, you can generally re-pot after it has grown to about 2 inches (5 cm) and has a well-established root system. If you’re treating your growing container like a greenhouse, it’s best to remove the lid for good after the first month so that the seedlings get adequate airflow. Prior to that, it’s good to lift the lid every few days for a moment to let new air in, but don’t leave it off for too long. After replanting, gradually water your seedlings less frequently to help them acclimate to the soak and dry method and develop hearty roots.Fungus on soilIf you find that mold or fungus starts to grow on your succulent soil while growing seeds, you’ll want to increase the air circulation. When water stands in one place for too long, fungus and mold start to grow.To treat it, simply spray it with isopropyl alcohol. This will kill the fungus but will not harm the little succulent seedlings.FREE SHIPPING FOR ALL ORDER OVER $25(Promotion does not apply to international shipment)We will try to ship same day or within 3 days with USPS first class package include valid tracking information.Expect shipment delay or late delivery due to current global logistic hardshipIf you have any problem with your product feel please contact us before bring the case to eBay. Many flower beautifully in the spring or summer most are beautiful in both shape and coloration. There are two type of cactus plants: desert and forest. The desert varieties are the ones most commonly seen in garden stores and many are hardy in all types of weather. Care Instructions Growing plants from seed is not as hard as you might think You should only plant a seed as deep in the soil as the seed is wide. When seeds are planted too deeply the tiny plants emerge and begin to grow but do not reach the surface before they run out of stored food. SOIL: A good potting mix, amended with ½ its volume of granite, perlite or pumice for drainage, makes a good mix for growing cacti from seed. To pasteurize soil, put it in a shallow heatproof pan, place it in the oven at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes PLANTING: Be sure that all containers to be used are clean. Water the soil thoroughly and let it drain completely before planting. Spread the seed evenly over the top of the soil. Cover the seed lightly with the mix or very fine sand. When planted, cover the container with any transparent lid. This will retain moisture and allow light to reach the seedlings. GERMINATION: Cactus seeds need both light and warmth to germinate. A sunny window is a good location, but be careful the light is not too strong and therefore too hot. The moisture retained by the cover should be sufficient to germinate the seed. Most cactus seeds germinate within 3 weeks, but some take longer. Once the spines are showing, raise the cover for ventilation during the day. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Do not swamp them in puddled water but do not let them dry out completely. Store Policies All seeds will come in a resalable plastic zip lock bag wrapped in a protectant so the seeds are not damaged by shipping machines. Also included with the seeds are planting instructions. All seed packets contain no fillers or other weeds or seeds mixed in. Most have been harvested by hand & all test at a high germination rate.
