Crassula columnaris is a dwarf species widespread across Namaqualand and southern Namibia. These offsets reroot close to the original plant, forming compact clusters in habitat rather than dispersing widely.

This happens often, as common species fade from ubiquity in favor of more vigorous or new-looking cultivars. While we wouldn’t call this stacking species a rare one, it certainly has not been produced at the level that it used to be.
