Hardies grow horizontally across the container, so a wide pot is necessary for planting. The plant should be planted at one edge of the container with the rhizome planted at an angle of about 45 degrees and the growing tip exposed. Remember to add fertilizer, use a rich garden soil, and top the soil with an inch or two of gravel or sand. The plant can be lowered to a depth of 6 inches to begin with, and then lowered to a depth of 12 to 18 inches as the plant grows. Hardies should be planted in early spring. They bloom from June through September depending on the weather and become dormant during the colder months. As the following spring approaches, growth will begin again. I don’t know the real Scientific name of this variety so I call it Angelskin named after our world famous Pink Coral !This peach/light orange blooms water lily has been in my koi pond for more than 5 years. Very pretty soft pink Angelskin color. Grown under the tropical Hawaiian SUN & Water !You will get a generous 4-6″ rhizomes plant with healthy established roots system. I will cutback leaves but if there are bud shoots I will leave it there. Blooms are about 5″ across in my pond ! May be smaller if you pot in large water tight container.Freshly divided from my koi pond 1/08/24. Guarantee live delivery.
