20 penstemon seed, a perennial in zone 3-8. Attacts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. This seed will require or benefit from a chilling period to break dormancy. Winter sowing works great for these or prechilling seeds in moist medium in a refrigerator for 6-8 weeks and then alternate to warm, bright location to germinate. The seeds will produce a mixture of dark purple/red to green leaf seedlings. The dark leaf seedling’s leaves will darken over time with adequate sun. It will grow 2′-3′ tall with a 18″ spread. The flowers are light pink to white tinged with light purple- pink. Our seeds are hand packaged in seed envelopes with printed information and germinating instructions on each pack.
