Info:this item contains 200+ seeds Sagina Procumbens var. ‘Compacta’ (Zone 4-7) is a variety and species of perennial pearlwort that spreads in dense grass-like mats. It can serve as:- ground cover like Irish moss in landscaping and gardens – moss or grass-like toppers for potted plants and bonsais- terrarium / vivarium ‘grass’ hobbyist plant- miniature fairy garden ‘grass’ – planted in moss gardens for texture variety- isolated no mow landscaping- perennial This pearlwort grows in spring, summer and fall in temperate northern climates in North America and Europe. Grows in full sun and part sun, doing well in a broad range of temperatures through multiple seasons and can survive some drought once established although its not preferable. It flowers in cycles or when over stressed, bearing tiny white flower bulbs that will help to self seed and keep the mat growing well formed. (see images) Start seeds outdoors in a rainy spring, after last frost. Sprinkle on TOP of soil. Keep watered, takes 1-2 weeks to germinate, but sometimes you will see tiny roots starting in as little as 3 days.
