They will be individually selected and carefully packed with moist paper towels to minimize dehydration during shipment and to ensure quality. Please see pictures for example. This aquatic perennial has unique arrowhead shaped leaves and can make a beautiful addition to your personal water garden. It naturally thrives in shallow water under full sun near lakes, rivers, tidal marshes, or wetland margins. Plus, the tubers at the end of the stem are edible and may be harvested underwater once a year after planting. Plant Care:After receiving plants in the mail, please grow aquatic arrowheads in a large pot using fully saturated soil containing a layer of water on top under full sun. Use a pot with no drainage holes at the bottom to contain the water. Plants will quickly multiply in a clumping manner. Gorgeous white flowers will typically bloom over the summer between July and September. The plant will then die back by fall, leaving large edible tubers ready for harvest underwater early winter during January. Leave smaller sized tubers behind for growing and they will rebloom the following planting season. Tubers may be enjoyed peeled and prepared by boiling, roasting, or stir frying.
