Fargesia dracocephala ‘Rufa’ Clumping Dragon’s Head Bamboo A small, clumping bamboo species, it is native to China. Thriving in partial to full shade, it’s well-suited for USDA zones 5 to 9. This beautiful and cold hardy clumping or noninvasive bamboo prefers moist, well-drained soil and resists harsh winter conditions, making it ideal for a variety of climates.
