Pelargonium mirabile – 3.25″ pot – Caudiciform

Pelargonium mirabile might be our favorite species in the genus, which is saying a lot considering how many Pelargonium we grow. The round, fuzzy leaves could hardly make a stronger contrast against the smooth, almost impossibly dark branches.

Epithelantha micromeris – 2.5″ tall pot – Cactus

This cactus owes its most striking feature, a dense shroud of tiny white spines, to its highly exposed habitat. Even though most people associate cacti with punishing desert sun, excessive light can quickly burn plant tissue.

Turbinicarpus krainzianus v. minimus – 2.5″ tall pot – Cactus

Turbinicarpus krainzianus v. minimus – 2.5″ tall pot. Curiously, mature examples of this variety only loosely resemble the species it’s related to. Instead, they continue to look much closer to young seedlings or offsets of it, only elongated and a prolific pupper.

Crassula columella – 2.5″ tall pot – Soft Succulent

This happens often, as common species fade from ubiquity in favor of more vigorous or new-looking cultivars. While we wouldn’t call this stacking species a rare one, it certainly has not been produced at the level that it used to be.

Orbea melanantha – 2.5″ tall pot – Stapeliad

Orbea is a stapeliad genus of about 56 species, occurring from southern and eastern Africa into Arabia. This allows certain species to be recognizable even when not in bloom. We also like the compact, jagged stems of this species, which is native to the miombo woodlands across Southern Africa, where it grows in sandy soil and stony ground.
