These do not come with a pot – they are shipped bare and unrooted. No warranty is provided beyond delivery of the healthy plants. This cactus is edible and perfect for reptile pets such as snakes, lizards, turtles, and tortoises. Humans can also eat this cactus, and the number of annoying glochids is very, very low compared to other types of cactus. It’s an emergency food, a delicacy, and snack all rolled into one! As alluded to, this cactus is extremely hardy! Toss a pad on the ground and it will probably survive and multiply on its own. However, in the middle of a very hot summer, it will probably need water to get started. Once it’s rooted, almost nothing can stop it. For anyone doing any xeriscaping, this is a great type of cactus to add to your arsenal. Plant-Care Tips:

1. Plant Succulent Cuttings in a pot with a drainage hole or holes with a mixture of half regular potting soil and half succulent potting mix. DO NOT plant succulents in a container without drainage holes. This will cause the root to rot.

2. Water your succulent plant when dry, never water when wet, damp or moist. Succulents like their roots to dry out really quickly.

3. In the beginning, freshly planted succulent plants will need a little TLC. Place them to an area where there is bright, indirect sunlight, or part shaded/part sunlight area then gradually introduce them to direct sunlight once they thrive and become established. This usually takes about a few days to a couple of weeks.

4. These succulents love the sun!

ONE SEEDLING Pregnant Onion ornithogalum caudatum rare succulent bulb False Sea

YOU’LLL GET A Pregnant Onion SEEDLING similar to the picture#2no pot, bare root The ornithogalum caudatum is also called ‘false sea onion’ due to the fact that it looks a little like a curled up spring onion. The juice gained from this plant is used in traditional medicine just like Aloe Vera. The ornithogalum caudatum grows similar to a normal spring onion and grows through the soil. However, unlike the onion that we use in the kitchen, this type blooms and has white little flowers along the stem. The great thing about the ornithogalum caudatum is that it is just as easy to plant as normal onions. You can plant it in your garden, but it grows equally well in pots kept indoors. The preferred temperatures are low and the flowers bloom almost all year round. Over time, the bulbs (roots) form new onions which you can cut away, use in a different location or leave as they are. The ornithogalum caudatum is native in South Africa and has been used just like we would use fresh Aloe Vera, meaning that it can be squeezed and rubbed on sun burns or other types of burns to speed up the healing process. It is also known to be effective after being bitten by an insect and for some types of rash. In older times, it was also used as a vegetable both raw and cooked.NOTE: This is a very nice choice for a succulents gardens
