If you have a hot and dry location and want abundant blooms from mid-summer to frost, this is a great choice! Known to be the BEST variety of Tithonia available for cut flower production. Due to plants magnificent height they work well for the back of borders or grown in large swaths or as a hedge for an eye catching display. Large, happy orange blooms up to 3 1/2″ across. Keep deadheaded to aid in abundance of blooms and to ensure a long season. These well branched plants attract many beneficial insects to the garden. Butterflies, hover flies and minute pirate bugs to name a few. Growing: direct sowing method is recommended. Barely cover seed as light will aid in germination. Wait until all chance of frost has passed for your local region. It is better to wait a little longer than try and jump start them as colder temps will inhibit germination and/or stunt plants growth.
