Staghorn Fern – Veitchii – Platycerium
The established fern you see in Pics 1 through 4 is the fern you’ll receive. The fertile fronds are short and upright if grown in bright light are mostly erect while the shield fronds have thin finger-like projections.
Staghorn Fern – Kaneohe Dwarf – Platycerium
Kaneohe Dwarf – Shapely dwarf form with an interesting juxtaposition between the tall shield fronds and the short and stout fertile fronds. The new LH shield frond is not yet apparent. Pictures 5 through 9 shows a mature version which is mounted on a 11×16 redwood board.
