✅ Up for sale is one Persimmon Nikita’s Gift (Diospyros virginiana x kaki) in a #1 pot, measuring 12-18 inches. During summer time it will be sent in container with soil. During winter - dormant, bare-root. Zones 5-9. ✅ Nikita’s Gift is an exciting new hybrid, a cross between an American variety (virginiana) and the Japanese variety (kaki). The bright reddish-orange fruit is approximately 3” wide and somewhat flattened on top. It possesses the same delicious flavor as the Japanese variety, and the fruit typically ripens in mid-October. ✅ To enjoy the fruit, it should be fully ripened and soft, as it can be astringent otherwise. Nikita’s Gift is self-fertile, eliminating the need for a cross-pollinator. It thrives in well-drained soil in the outdoor garden, requiring plenty of sun and regular watering for great-tasting fruit.
