The 'Orinoco' banana is a very sweet and delicious banana originating from the Orinoco River Valley in Venezuela. Not only are they delicious but they are also able to transform any landscape into a tropical paradise. The 'Orinoco' is a very cold hardy banana, zone 7 to 10. Orinocos prefer full sun to bear the most fruit but will still bear fruit if partially shaded. They can produce fruit year-round! Once the mother tree bears fruit, it will then die, but not before it sends up a new pup to replace her. The Orinoco will grow to about 20 feet. Great plant for fruit production, and is an excellent source of bio-mass for a syntropic agroforestry system. Will ship bare root with most leaves removed. Ships via USPS 3-day Priority Mail.
