This plant is a sequential bloomer and produces 2-3 flowers/spike over a period of 6-8 weeks. Tip to tip, the flowers are about the size of a silver dollar, The red color comes from M barleana and the stripes in the flower and the plants diminutive stature come from M nidifica.
