Floating seeds will germinate. Fall sowing is optimal for a spring germination. Sowing at other times of the year requires 120 day stratification. Fill 4” or 6” pots with seed starting mix and saturate the soil. Insert 2 seeds per pot 3/8” deep and mist with water. Cover pots with a ziplock bag, misting only when the soil dries. Keep pots in a warm, sunny indoor spot, optionally using a heat mat for germination. Once sprouts reach 2 inches, remove the bag and mist regularly. Move plants outdoors to a partial sun spot, away from afternoon sun, when a foot tall.
