GROWING:Easy to grow thorny annual weed with spiky leaves and purple thistles. Likes full sun and minimal care. Tolerates drought and/or over-watering and partial shade. Prefers rich soils, with loam, but will grow along highways in some locales. Outdoors: Sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked. Plant seeds 1/4" deep, one seed per two inches. Thin as needed, but four feet final spacing produces healthy, happy plants. These are prickly weeds with sharp seed pods that would make a good border plant along with Daturas.
