Beaucarnea recurvata is best known by the common name Ponytail Palm. It is an unusual and versatile plant that is comfortable outdoors or indoors. These unique plants are not true palms but are actually more closely related to agave and asparagus. Form unites this family as they all produce leaves in a tight rosette pattern. Ponytail Palms have earned their apt name with their strange growth habit.
