Naturally grown Yellow Onion Sets - Stuttgarter onion bulbs. Stuttgarter onions are a reliable yellow onion to grow from sets or bulbs. Delicious when cooked, they have a mildly sweet flavor. Medium size yellow onions with excellent storage properties. Intermediate day length variety.CONTAINS: 40-60 onion bulbs equal to approximately 8 ounces in weight.ABOUT ONION SETS / BULBS: Onion sets or bulbs as they are sometimes called, are small starter onions available for early spring planting. Sets are more dependable and easier than seeding or planting transplants, and they grow easily in any good garden soil. Place them 3 to 6 inches apart in rows at least a foot apart. In late summer they are ready to harvest when the tops begin to fall over; then just pull them from the soil and let them cure in a dry, airy location for 14 days.
