I'm selling over 600 + kinds of seeds ( and also live plants during the warmer months ) so check my other auctions . You are bidding on 15 CORALINE QUINCE SEEDS - chaenomeles x superba cv corallina . This is a hardy deciduous shrub which bears its flowers from mid-winter to late spring, often on bare stems. I cant find much info on this type . Beautiful deep red flowers followed by large yellow fruit in the fall . This bush can get 6 feet tall . Its was growing in zone 7 . Medicinal use of Japanese Quince: The fruit is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, astringent and digestive. A decoction is used internally in the treatment of nausea, joint pains, cholera and associated cramps. Edible parts of Japanese Quince: Fruit - cooked. Very harsh and acid raw but fragrant when cooked. Used for jams, jellies etc and as a flavoring with cooked apples. The fruit can be apple or pear-shaped and up to 6.5 cm long x 6.5 cm wide.Other uses of the herb: Plants can be grown as a medium sized hedge.
