You are bidding on about 30 LUNA RED SWAMP MALLOW SEEDS - Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Red' See my other colors of this plant listed .The swamp rose mallow is a multi-stemmed, shrub-like herbaceous perennial that grows up to 3' tall. An especially compact variety, this forms a medium-sized bushy mound of dark green leaves with reddish stems . Huge saucer-shaped flowers appear in mid summer and continue until frost. Plants prefer evenly moist soil and sunny conditions. This selection has blooms of rich solid red and each flower (6-8” diameter) features five overlapping deep burgundy red petals. Prominent and showy creamy white to pale yellow central staminal column. Blooms July to September. Zone: 5 to 9Height: 2.00 to 3.00 feetSpread: 1.50 to 2.00 feet Medicinal use of Swamp Rose Mallow: The leaves and roots abound in mucilage. Like many other plants in this family, they are demulcent and emollient and are used in the treatment of dysentery, lung ailments and urinary ailments. an infusion of the dried stalks has been used in the treatment of inflammation of the bladder.
