Shangri Lamulberry - delicious sweet organic cold hardy A fast-growing, small-sized mulberry tree. mature tree is 18'-20' tall x 18'20' wide. Will produce fruits from May to June. The fruit is large black, over 1.5" long, sweet and delicious. Self-pollinating. Drought and heat-tolerant. The cuttingsareabout8" long,and 1/4 -1/2" diameter. The mother tree grows in-ground (Houston tx, zone 9) without winter protection. They will be fresh cut right before shipping and wrapped with damp paper inside a plastic bag. There are many ways to root the cuttings, the principle is to keep it moist andwarm (> 70-75 F). Rooting hormone NOT required for this variety. The easiest way to root this variety will be sticking it into moist soil. Make sure the soil is humid, but not soggy. Mulberry will grow flower before leaf, please remove flower so the energy will be used for rooting and leafing.
