Unusual forsythia that stays naturally smaller more compact - with incredibly unique variegated/veiny foliage. First indication of spring is when these little shrubs are covered in golden yellow bell-shaped flowers followed by the dark green variegated leaves. During winter after the leaves have dropped - the branches transform to a rich deep purplish hue - stunning multiseasonal interest. These varieties handle dappled shade as well. Kumson forsythia are rapid growers, can reach full size within 1-2 seasons - they respond well to regular pruning. These shrubs are beginning to wake up for spring, and flush out with new foliage.
