SORRY CANNOT SEND TO HI. Please do not order if your state is on this list as your state has restrictions. Common Milkweed is a herbaceous perennial hardy to zones 3 through 8. It is an attractor for the monarch butterflies. It will grow in poor soils and likes full sun. Press seed on to damp soil and barely cover and keep moist until germination which is approximately 10-14 days. It likes cool weather to germinate so you may plant the seeds in the fall for spring germination. They grow 4 to 5 feet tall and around 12 to 15 inches wide and develop pinkish flower heads. In late fall they develop pods with seeds inside. The sap, the white glue-like liquid that oozes out when the plant leaves or stem is cracked, is used to kill worts on the skin, as is dandelion sap.
