The Schefflera Actinophylla is sometimes referred to as the umbrella plant or umbrella tree. It features long, shiny, oval green leaves that droop gracefully from a central stalk, resembling an umbrella. A mature Schefflera might have 12 to 16 leaflets from a single stalk, while an younger Schefflera is more likely to have four to six. It can produce small red flowers from very large branched flower clusters at the top of the plant. When grown outdoors, the Schefflera plants is fast-growing and can add up to 3 feet per year. Grown indoors, it will grow slower, especially if kept in a small pot. Whether grown indoors or outdoors, the Schefflera requires bright, but indirect sun. The plant is a seedling approx 10-18" tall. It will be shipped with bare roots to reduce shipping charges. Its roots will be kept moistened and wrapped for transit.
