Winter Update: Most plants are in their winter dormant stage here by now, without any leaves. If you are in a warm region, they will start new shoots in 4 to 8 weeks. Otherwise, until next spring, you'll need to wait. FYI, some professional gardeners prefer to do transplanting during the dormant season to avoid the shock Descriptions: One (at random) starter grape vine, similar to the potted vines shown in the pictures above. Condition:Newly rooted vine, grown from cutting, shipped in its own 2.75"W x 5"H pot. Since the cuttings were mature, these vines will fruit either this fall or next, depending on when and how you grow it. Healthy and easy to grow. They are now 4" to 8" tall, and is growing taller daily. Upon shipping, we might need to trim them shorter in order to fit them in the shipping box. Variety: Crimson. It grows well in our zone 8 area. Not only the grapes are red, the new growth of the vines is reddish also. This is the best-looking vine out of all the different varieties we have in our yard. Each year, we harvest a lot of large size, oval shape, seedless table grapes from this vine. Crimson is a late harvest variety. We also carry early harvest varieties. In between these varieties, we get almost 5 months of endless fresh grapes from our own yard (store bought grapes can never taste as good as home-grown grapes). When we have extra grapes that we cannot consume right away, we dry them under the sun to make homemade raisins. Sweet, meaty and tasty, we love to share these wonderful vines with you. Details:If conditions are right, you should be able to taste a few of these grapes this fall or next. It takes another year or two for them to become full grown.
