Salix babylonica tortuosa also known as Dragon's Claw Willow, Twisted-Twig Willow, Curly Willow, Contorted Willow, Rattlesnake Willow, Hankow Willow & Pekin Willow Fast growing medium size deciduous tree native to Asia. Height: 20-40 feet with 10-15 feet weeping spread Short lifespan of 15-20 years. Narrow oval shaped green leaves for spring and summer with yellow autumn foliage. Fuzzy yellow catkin flowers in spring. Moist to wet soil- these trees are not particular about soil type so much as needing frequent water. The wetter the better.
