Height/Spread: 12 inches to 15 inches x 12 inches to 15 inches. Climate Zones: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Sun Exposure: Full sun to full shade, flowers best in partial shade. Soil Condition: Well-drained to dry, average to poor, pH 4.5 to 6.4. Features: Drought tolerant, low maintenance, lush appearance. Comments: 'Ingwersen' is very popular in Europe, but not well-known in the U.S. It produces evergreen, arching, deep green foliage 1/2 inch wide. Lilac flower spikes bloom profusely. Clump-forming, it spreads by short underground rhizomes. Mature height is 12 inches to 15 inches. 'Ingwersen' is wonderful for a lush ground cover. It will tolerate full sun, but blooms best in partial shade to full shade in USDA climate zones 6 to 10. Average well-drained garden soil is fine. It adapts to a wide variety of soil types with pH ranging from 4.5 to 6.4. 'Ingwersen' is drought tolerant.
