50 Crimson Bottlebrush Flower Tree Seeds Callistemon citrinus "Seeds are Very Tiny, & look more like Dust so be Very Careful when Handling them." The Bottle Brush Tree is a Unique Type of Tree among Australian Plants. It gets it's Name from the Brush-Like Leaves and Rounded Bottlebrush Shrubs that Grow on the Tree. If you're Looking for a Unique Tree to Add to your Garden, or an Inside Houseplant, Consider Planting a Bottle Brush Tree. This Evergreen Tree Native to Australia will Add Beauty to your Landscape while also Providing a Useful Function! Bottlebrushes are Beautiful & Excellent Bird & Butterfly Plants. Their Flowers Secrete Copious Nectar that Attract Sunbirds, Mynas and Yellow-vented Bulbuls (Pycnonotus goiavier). The Leaves are a Favorite Food of the Caterpillars of an unidentified Butterfly or Moth that in turn Serve to Attract Birds to these Trees.Hummingbirds love the flowers, and the plant is hardier than most bottlebrushes. The flowers are followed by small, woody capsules that look like bead bracelets on the bark, and which last for years. Offered as a shrub, bottlebrush can be trained as a tree to 15-feet or espaliered as a quick wall cover. It makes a nice screen or tall unclipped hedge. Pruning to develop several trunks and removing some lower branches can create a fine small specimen tree that can make an Excellent & Unique Houseplant. This tree also has many medicinal properties that come from a tea made of it's leaves. Zones 9-10, or as a Houseplant, just bring in when it gets below 45 degrees F. Crimson Bottlebrush Germination: "Seeds are Very Tiny, & look more like Dust so be Very Careful when Handling them." 1)Prepare a trey with moist soil. Pour boiling water over it and let it cool. This will make sure the soil is Sterile. 2)Use a heated propagator mat to keep the soil temperature at 80-85 degrees F. 3)Do Not Bury. Just Sprinkle them on top of the moist soil. 4)Cover with a piece of plastic or place inside a heated propagator to help retain moisture for high humidity. 5)Keep under a bright light. Not direct sunshine, just a very bright light. 6)Keep the soil "moist". Not wet. Only use a spray bottle to mist them and keep them moist. 7)You should expect sprouts in 2-3 weeks. Once seedlings emerge remove the plastic. 8)When seedling reach a height of 3 inches they can be transplanted into a 2 gallon pot. Keep indoors in a warm and bright location for 6-9 months. 9)Wait until the threat of frost is gone in Spring before planting outdoors. "Please Contact us First if you need Anything"
